If you’ve ever met Caleb, you probably left the interaction smiling — he just has that effect on people. He’s got an energy that fills a room, a laugh that’s absolutely contagious, and a passion for sports that runs deep. Whether it’s baseball, basketball, or football, if it involves movement and a ball, Caleb is all in.
Caleb was born in 2010 and diagnosed with cystic fibrosis right away. His family already knew the signs — his older brother Tanner also lives with CF — and they’ve walked this road together since day one. The bond between the two of them has been unshakable, forged through shared hospital stays, surgeries, and plenty of victories, big and small.
When Caleb was just four years old, he suffered a full collapse of his left lung. Despite every effort, that lung never regained function — and yet, you’d never guess it. Caleb never stopped running, playing, and dreaming. In fact, if anything, his challenges have made him stronger. He’s now fifteen and hasn’t had a hospital stay since 2021. (We’re all knocking on wood as we say that!)
He’s healthier than he’s ever been and thriving on Trikafta. Though he’s faced growth challenges over the years, his personality more than makes up for any lost inches. He’s become known for his silly dances, spontaneous jokes, and his knack for lifting others up — whether with a magic trick or just a smile.
Caleb’s dream is to become a professional athlete — but if that doesn’t work out, he’s already got a backup plan. With his encyclopedic sports knowledge and natural charisma, he’d make an incredible sports commentator. One thing’s for sure: no matter where life leads him, Caleb is going to make an impact.
Caleb is a reminder that resilience doesn’t always look serious — sometimes it looks like a kid with one-lung and a baseball glove. And that’s exactly what makes him one of the unforgettable faces of CF.
